@MaryMRedoutey many ineffective managers and executives make decisions without understanding the impact and then also often blame others for the unintended consequences. It is not good but sadly happens.

And the desire to control people by bringing them into the office when they work best by working remotely is poor, authoritarian and ineffectual management indeed.
