✨📣✨ Mark your calendars! DjangoCon US is coming to Durham, NC, on October 15-20, 2023. http://2023.djangocon.us/
@djangocon I'm curious, does anyone attend DjangoCon that doesn't use Django?
When Django started I was in the ruby world, and by the time I switched to Python I'd gained a pretty minimalistic tendency and have been more drawn to things like Flask or seeing if I can build useful web apps with just the python standard library. That said I often learn a lot from people around the Django community.
Should someone like me attend?
I'd say it's not a bad idea. I had just about zero django experience last year and was there to give a talk!

It was an extremely enjoyable experience. As a smaller conference, you have more opportunity for meaningful connections/interactions--and there are tons of GREAT talks, even if you don't have much Django experience...
Simon's talk from 2022 comes to mind:

@Natris1979 @djangocon yes. Keep in mind our conference websites have been Jekyll/GitHub Pages based going back 5 or 6 years now.
Everyone is welcome, but you will see a heavy amount of Django-based talks because of the name on the tin.
@webology @Natris1979 @djangocon My most recent DjangoCon talk was all about Django and not about Django at all at the same time: https://youtu.be/_ol81_1UMbQ
@pythonbynight @Natris1979 Yes, please attend! There are also talks about front-end work, career development, ethical concerns in technology, and more!
