@spaf that’s so good! “Changing the business practices of a whole federal agency was enough,” I would very much agree with. You revealed to them the downsides of their file ingestion strategy. And your footnote about USC 18 § 1030 the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act) is an inspired and concise way to explain why extra shenanigans were good to not do in this case. Nicely done 👏
@spaf @davidaugust at one company I worked in we had an all female IT team, except one guy who is supposed to be part of the team for only 1 day every 3 months or so (it used to be his job, this is for handover purposes). A horrible supplier was rude and insisted he speak to our IT guy. So we said sure. And scheduled a call back in about 10 weeks when the one guy in the team was scheduled to work with us...
