What do people use lists for on here?
I've never used them and can't immediately think how to use them (i'm not saying they're a bad idea or anything, i just don't understand them).
@tdp_org They're kind of broken because there's no way to hide accounts in lists from your home timeline, or add an account to a list without following them. It means using lists as most (non-malicious) people did on Twitter as a "these people are sometimes interesting on this specific topic but I don't want to see them all the time" function isn't possible.
@tdp_org I had separate lists for bot vs human accounts for a while, the idea being that I could put the human list up on the web interface in a separate column and those posts wouldn't get flooded out by bot posts...but now I have the opposite problem but also have been too lazy to maintain my lists sooo *shrugs*
@tdp_org
In my case I follow people that share interesting topics, my lists keep those topics in order and allow me to scroll down checking what I missed since my home timeline goes flying sometimes.
